The air quality indoors and outdoors is very important to take care of because more and more individuals are being diagnosed with respiratory illnesses. In California, cities that are close to the beach, might have better air quality than areas that are more polluted, however cities also need to inform them about the air quality in their environment. According to Breathe California, “California is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of air pollution and warmer temperatures. Increased temperatures caused by global warming will exacerbate air pollution, increasing the rates of asthma, respiratory and other lung related ailments.” and air pollution. Breathe California Central Coast’s 4th Annual Clean Air Awards will be hosting this event on May 15, 2014. Winners will be recognized in this special event in Monterey.
